Unlock more compute without adding more power

Meet the Karman developer kit for AI factories
Karman developer kit

Get access to high-resolution, granular power data with developer tooling to integrate with your existing systems or develop new applications on our custom NVIDIA module.

Karman can be embedded in power distribution equipment like PDUs for 50kW racks and power trays for higher power density.

The system provides access to metrics, including:
  • Real-time power metrics: active, reactive, and apparent power
  • Total harmonic distortion analysis
  • Power factor monitoring
  • Predictive power forecasting for proactive load management

With Karman’s microsecond power visibility and predictive controls, AI data centers can run more tasks with the same power. By tracking usage at microsecond resolution, Karman enables real-time power profiling and optimization tied to workload demand.

Power Aware Module (PAM) for developers

We’ve released a preview of our open source software that shows how to integrate data from Karman with AI data center servers.

This research preview includes samples of Karman’s initial data product, Power Quality Analytics, through a minimal Kubernetes reference implementation. The preview demonstrates how power-aware insights in monitoring and alerting applications can uncover novel insights to enhance reliability and uptime.

What does PAM do?
  • Receives power-aware data products from Karman and integrates those with existing data center components such as Kubernetes, job schedulers, and power capping interfaces.
  • Computes control commands to implement power-aware control of those data centers components.
