At Utilidata, we develop innovative solutions that help utilities address a range of challenges. Our experience and thought leadership in this space is unmatched. We are making the grid smarter to reduce waste, increase reliability, and save money—working with utilities to scale solar, wind and other power resources to get out ahead of today’s transforming energy market.

Our patented digital platform captures real-time intelligence from the electric distribution grid and powers our signature Volt/VAR Optimization application, AdaptiVolt™, the market leader in voltage optimization. AdaptiVolt enables utility companies to achieve best-in-class energy efficiency and demand reduction.

Framework for Success

We believe in building a strong eco-system and offering a comprehensive approach to ensure our customers’ success, including regulatory and policy assistance, partnerships with leading smart grid companies and an exceptional voltage optimization software product. We recognize that the distribution grid is rapidly evolving and that the ability to adopt new technologies, while providing safe, reliable, and affordable power is core to our customers’ missions.

We are committed to staying ahead of the curve, to ensure our software can easily integrate with new applications as they come online and help make the adoption of new technologies seamless.

With a world-class production, research, and development facility at our headquarters in Providence, Rhode Island, USA and major utility clients and partners in North America and across the world, Utilidata continues to expand its global footprint.

At Utilidata, our entire team is committed to supporting our local community in Rhode Island and making a difference within our industry. We are especially proud to support STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education and efforts to ensure that all students have access to these important disciplines.

Girls Who Code Logo
In a room of 25 engineers, only 3 will be women. Girls Who Code, a national non-profit, is working to change that by educating and inspiring high school girls with the skills to pursue technology and engineering opportunities. Utilidata is proud to support the Girls Who Code mission and draw a spotlight on the issue. During the utility industry’s largest trade show, we committed to make a donation to Girls Who Code for each visitor to our company’s booth. The effort resulted in a $10,000 donation – and a foundation for a continued partnership.
United Way Logo
Utilidata is partnering with the United Way of Rhode Island to strengthen our students’ exposure to STEM at an early age. Utilidata is proud to support the organization’s efforts to create a STEM curriculum for local students enrolled in the organization’s afterschool programs across the Ocean State. The new curriculum is expected to launch in the Fall of 2015.

Utilidata is committed to supporting supplier diversity locally and nationally. As a corporate member of the Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE), Utilidata is proud to support the CWE’s efforts to manage the certification process for New England women-owned businesses in order to break down barriers and help women-owned businesses become vendors to leading corporations. The CWE is the New England Regional Partner Organization for Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
Workplace Charging Challenge
Utilidata is proud to join the U.S. Department of Energy’s Workplace Charging Challenge – a national partnership program that aims to increase the number of employers offering workplace charging to 500 by 2018. Through its efforts, Utilidata is helping to reduce petroleum use and greenhouse gas emissions while also providing a valuable employee benefit. Utilidata is pleased to support this shared effort to move toward a cleaner energy future.
