PCS UtiliData Selects new CEO
October 27, 2010
Spokane, WA – PCS UtiliData announced today that its Board of Directors has named Ron Decker to serve as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Decker replaces Thomas Wilson who is stepping down after 24 years of leadership at the company. Decker begins his role immediately and Wilson will retain his position on the Board and take on a new role as Chief Technical Officer.
Decker, a graduate of the University of Washington School of Business, has been the CEO of a major internet retailer with over $100 million in annual revenue, the COO and CFO of a Berkshire-Hathaway subsidiary and served as a senior financial manager at Price-Waterhouse & Co., where he served on their Merger and Acquisition team.
Wilson said that the Board selected Decker based on his proven track record of increasing companies’ revenues, financial background and outstanding personal qualities.
“I was excited to find a leading edge company with proven energy conservation technology in my home city of Spokane (WA),” said Decker. “While considering an investment, I called on the management of Plum Creek Timber Company regarding the success of the voltage optimization technology installed by PCS UtiliData. Their comment was that PCS’ AdaptiVolt™ system produced a rate of return on investment that was through-the-roof. Needless to say, I was very excited when the Board invited me to join the company.”
